The Man, The Myth, The Legend - THE DAD!!

What do you call someone with no body and no nose? Nobody knows

Like most fathers, my dad had a knack for telling the most detailed and elaborate stories that kept my brother and me entertained for hours. His absurd and cringe-worthy dad jokes were no different. A little less than a decade ago my father lost control of his speech due to CVA (Stroke) and I still regret taking something as insignificant as the sound of my father's voice for granted. It was like losing a gift I never knew I possessed and being violently shaken by the thought of never owning it again.

Where do cats learn how to clean themselves? Cat-lick school

It was early in the 1900s when Sonora L Smart, daughter of William J Smart, realized that fathers were not given a day to be honored or thanked as mothers do. Her father was a civil war veteran and lost his wife while she was giving birth to his youngest. Sonora was in awe of her father's ability to raise six children by himself, whilst caring for a newborn and mourning the loss of his beloved spouse. With the help of the YMCA, Sonora's dream of establishing an annual Father's day celebration came true.

Want to build an Ark? I Noah guy.

Let us celebrate the fathers, stepfathers, guardians, grandfathers, trans dads, adopted parents, father figures and, even the fathers we have lost that we still consider the heroes of our story. May our daddies love, protect and inspire us forever.

Dad: I don't trust those trees at Boschrand, son.

Son: What? Why not dad?

Dad: They seem kind of shady.
